Listening for leads

You likely hold the solution to someone else’s problem.

Two recent personal examples highlight this.

1. I posted on Twitter looking for a project/task collaboration web or mobile app that my wife and I could use. The folks at Azendoo were listening and suggested I give it a try.

2. I posted on Twitter looking for a password manager for my team. Boris, one of the founders from Meldium reached out to me.

I had no idea of either of these companies, but they were listening. Using Twitter’s ability to listen to global conversation, these two startups were actively looking to help. I’m not yet a paying user of either service, but have spent significant time evaluating both projects and just might end up being a paying customer.

Your next paying customer might be asking for your help right now. Are you listening?
