Being an encourager at 35,000 feet

One of the ways I show care for others is through my words, both verbal and written.

Recently while flying, I had an idea. As I flew over the city of a friend and colleague, I simply typed some words of encouragement for that person about the leadership and vision they were displaying in their cause.  Looking out the window at the city lights, the vast geography prompted me to think about the people and needs in that city. I could visualize some of the challenges and celebrate some of the accomplishments.

As I hit the ground the email was already queued and could be sent.

Next time you’re at 35,000 feet, look out the window and take five minutes to encourage someone.
