First impressions

It’s not when your eyes meet.
It’s not when the welcome handshake happens.

It’s when someone does a Google search.
It’s when someone begins following your cause on Twitter.
It’s when I land on your site.

I’m at a team retreat this week and a number of teammates, unprompted, indicated in various contexts that they checked out the retreat site’s website before arriving.

You can have the prettiest girls, the best flowers or the cleanest floors, but nowadays it’s just as much about the impression your digital ecosystem yields.
