Early in our marriage, my wife and I discovered that we use our calendars for very different purposes.
My wife uses a calendar to record all the things she intends or hopes to do. She enjoys having a full calendar and seeing all the things that are possible.
I use a calendar to record all the things I am committed to do. I enjoy whitespace in my calendar as to make sure I don’t have more than I can realistically get done. I have other systems that record my intentions and hopes.
Both can work, it’s just important to be clear with your organization or team on what you’re trying to accomplish with a calendar.
